How to Start a Training Program
This page is your starting point. Use it to pick the correct course, but do not skip the course order.
Step 1
Open a program
Start with Induction if you are new to the academy, or open the required Type Rating course.
Step 2
Enroll
Open the course and enroll first so your progress is tracked correctly.
Step 3
Study Theory Materials
Read the lessons, notes, PDF links, video links and external references on the Theory page.
Step 4
Pass Final Theory Test
Complete the final theory test before moving to practical submission.
Step 5
Fly the practical task
Complete the required flight for the selected practical item.
Step 6
Wait until the PIREP is accepted in phpVMS
Your flight must be accepted before it can be used for practical submission.
Step 7
Submit Practical
Open Submit Practical, choose the requirement, attach the accepted PIREP or enter notes, and send it for review.
Step 8
Wait for admin review
Submitted does not mean passed. Wait until the practical item is reviewed.
Step 9
Open Checkride
Checkride becomes available only after the required practical items are passed.
Step 10
Certificate
After the full course is completed, open your certificate page.

New pilot
Start with Induction first, then continue to aircraft-specific training.
Type Rating pilot
Open the required aircraft course, enroll, study theory, pass the final theory test, then continue to practical.
Important rule
Do not use Practice or Checkride as the first step. Open the course first and follow the steps in order.
Accepted PIREP rule
Practical submission should be done only after the related PIREP becomes accepted in phpVMS.

This should normally be the first academy course for a new pilot.

Recommended first action
Start here first, then continue later to the required Type Rating.
Stage 2
Type Ratings
Aircraft qualification after induction or after the entry route is already clear.

Recommended first action
Complete this after induction and before recurrent / PROF CHECK programs.
